Dreaming to Dream

While on the plane heading to Virginia late last night, I began to think about the differences in humans, why we dream, how some people often find joy and others do not so easily. I also thought about those who are scoffers at very difficult phenomena to measure such as psi and those who are open to discovery and often do experience extraordinary events that give deep meaning to their lives.

I believe the scientific method is important and that empirical data should be analyzed and results correctly reported. But that isn’t really the point. If we spend too much time in the dryness of refuting everything we do not understand, we may miss many of the moments that actually make life worth living.

Dreams are valuable tools to help us realize that there is something greater than ourselves. We are a part of the beauty that unfolded the universe and all that is contained within it. Oddly, I have been asking for answers to certain questions before I sleep for over a week now. I dream every night and usually, almost always, remember them. But this past week, and ever since I began asking, I can’t remember my dreams that I KNOW that I have had to save my life. I wake up and they are still fading, and then in seconds, gone. I tried to recapture something, but they seemingly popped out of existence. That is NOT like me, at all. So I sat and reflected about why this would be happening. And this is what I came up with after spending a beautiful day by myself at Founders Inn. (If you ever get a chance to visit Virginia Beach, I highly recommend this hotel and the spa is amazing!)

There is deeper work happening at the unconscious level of my being. I am not supposed to remember them right now. I know the dreams have been worthy and peaceful. I accept that as enough to understand at this moment. I will see clearly the answers to my questions soon. I have been seeing in my waking life my number patterns that follow me everywhere (137 and 3s) appearing everywhere. My given room number is 3303. My identity tag is 07031715. There were 37 hotel options on booking.com when I booked the hotel. It’s awesome. And exactly my point.

What matters most are our experiences. And at some point, it behooves us to just live and enjoy life. Research is great and necessary, but as with every other model that creates right and wrong, sometimes the model is taken too far. And sadly, no one seems to be listening anymore to the science that really does matter for the planet and its inhabitants. How can we expect anyone to ever take a dream or telepathy very seriously either? I think we need to begin to look more deeply at ourselves as a species and relax a little so that our dreams can incubate a story of ourselves that we have yet to see. The unconscious mind in many folks is unsettling. How can we resolve the discord that plagues humanity? We need a real eye opener perhaps? Seems we are headed in that direction.

Why not, it was prophesied. Will we self-live the prophecy?Personal mythology is a theme in some of our dreams. How would I look for mythic themes in someone’s dreams?

We all have our own mythology, and often we move through various archetypes as we learn and grow. I read today on the blog #besomebody (KASH SHAIKH (Links to an external site.) MAY 7, 2017) a wonderful way of looking at life. He said, “The truth is, you do NOT only life once.”

Kash was not talking about reincarnation. He was referring to being a participate in life and not being afraid to experience. Sometimes we have more than one life in one lifetime. Sometimes people die, or they walk away. Or perhaps it is us who walk away and begin new journeys. We do it all the time – career, relationships. It’s how we grow and necessary for gaining true wisdom. Many people I know who have never traveled very much and stays confined in their comfort zone are rigid and full of fear. They do not know what the world is like. I wish we made it mandatory that young folks must travel for one year before beginning their careers.

Each of us has a mythical journey, full of themes, and dreams are absolutely wonderful ways to evolve as a human. It can unravel the path to follow our bliss. A dream can occur while we are awake or asleep. Shouldn’t we follow our dreams?
In conclusion, a dream is not necessarily bound by space and time. Consciousness was not designed to be perfectly packaged and linear. Consciousness is holographic and dynamic. If we embraced more the dynamic aspects of being in our lives, perhaps we would see the beauty and awe in everything that we do and those around us. Sometimes experiences are extraordinary and not meant to be duplicated and measured. The nature of the universe perhaps has a law wildly against such arrogance. Perhaps the secret is in 137.
